I'm as shocked as you are. According to a local sports show here in Colorado on Fox Sports Net called The Dino Costa Show, Jon Bon Jovi and John Elway made a bet that if Elway's Colorado Crush won against Bon Jovi's Philadelphia Soul then Bon Jovi would have to sing the nation anthem at all Colorado Crush home games. But if Bon Jovi's Soul beat Elway's Crush, then Elway would have to play quarterback for the remaining Colorado Crush games. As it turns out Bon Jovi's Philadelphia Soul won which means Elway lost the best and if he is a man of his word, would have to quarterback the Colorado Crush the rest of the season. I'm not sure how valid this story is but if true, wow! just wow! I would be speechless. I guess it would make a little bit of sense because in the AFL you don't exactly have to be mobile, the quarterback pretty much just has to drop back in the pocket and get rid of the ball which would suit Elway as his age. This may also be a publicity stunt for the Crush to get the stands full, which here in Colorado if Elway so much as played in a rec league flag football game people would flock to see it. Either way this is shocking news to me. What's next, Larry Bird coming back to play in the NBDL?
